Deense persfotografen doen elk jaar een succesvolle greep naar de prijzen in de World Press Photo competitie. Een van hen is Jan Dago, die dit weekend ook in Amsterdam aanwezig was voor een presentatie van zijn werk. Vooral de buitengewoon goede compositie van zijn foto's is opvallend.
Jan Dago has been working as a professional photographer for more than 10 years. He started out in advertising photography, then became a newspaper photographer for five years. In 1993, Dago was educated as a press photographer. During that time, he was also a staff photographer at the biggest Danish newspaper, Morgen Avisen Jyllands- Posten. From 1996 to 1997 he taught at the Danish School of Photojournalism. For the past 3 years he has been working as a freelance photographer.
Jan Dago became a nominee of Magnum Photos in 2001.
